About

Julien Firmin got his feet wet in 2015 with a few notable live performances and is expected to release his debut album next spring. Where his guitar playing remains sober but effortless, his singing is highly adventurous and surprising. It’s all he needs to create lively, pure and unpretentious songs.

Not surprisingly, Julien Firmin finds inspiration in bands and artists like Brian Jonestown Massacre, Kurt Vile, 16 Horsepower, PJ Harvey and Daniel Norgren. He’s an uncomplicated personality and doesn’t really waste words. Although that’s exactly the kind of artist you can expect, songs like ‘Satellite’ and ‘Spanish Melodies’ are truly electrifying and reveal a surprising level of complexity and emotion.
